So many points to bring up and I feel so tense today and don’t no why. Do we have a lot resting on this finale? I bet the forums will be alive in the morning. So I fear a lot will happen. 23 Episodes have flown by since last October and this little community here has formed a tight bond. We all get along swimmingly. We have debated and pulled apart episodes, and torn them to shreds and magnified them, pinning everything on this last episode. Are we going to be right or wrong. Are we going to be elated, or disappointed if our predictions don’t pack that wow punch.
Let us know during the night how you felt, and how you thought it all went down. I no how good you guys are at informing me, and the world what went down. So please don’t disappoint us 😉 We all no Aunty Bella’s drill and what she expects from her little angels. I sadly will be tucked up in the land of nod dreaming about our boys fighting demons, whilst you are gazing at your screens drooling over your last 42 minutes of pure uninterrupted bliss. Enjoy that glass of wine, beer or even bubbly and type away thousands of words and I will attend to your thoughts when I wake from a deep, deep sleep.
Then alas we have the dreaded summer hellatus, what are we going to do guys. Will Aunty Bella have enough inspiration to see us through until October? When yes guys this blog will be having its first birthday. I am determined to watch season 8 again, and pick up on all those details once more. So I will report on those, if I find any. But if there is anything specific you want to debate, let me no and I see what I can do. I will try and keep it current as I know that’s what you all seem to enjoy. Boy its so tough being a blogger!!!
I just wanted to add, that all of you have been amazing this season, and how we all get on as a team. We are all communicating together and its lovely to see. I would be lost without all of my little angels. I love each and every one of you 😉 I couldn’t do any of this without your daily input. Thank you for supporting me.

Good to see you again Jade. Nope my brother sends me the link which can usually get to me as early as Friday afternoon to as late as Tuesday evening. It depends how quickly people add the links. We used to use rapidshare and they dried up for some reason, so he had to find an alternative which sadly takes much longer. 😦 I am being so patient Jade, but its very hard. I have caught up with a lot on IMDb so I’ve picked up a lot there, and also my angels have done a good job in informing and answering my confused questions too. Some did say the brothers were very selfish in thinking of themselves in not saving the world. so I don’t no how true this is. I think it also gave Sam the opportunity to open up to Dean, and it did him the world of good. I hope he feels stronger now knowing he got a lot of his chest. I also heard about the angels falling from heaven moment, and that Naomi is no longer and Metatron is in Heaven.

EXACTLY Barb! I don’t get how people can call them selfish, look at ALL they have done for the world. Finally they were thinking of themselves for once and didn’t want to sacrifice each other! I can’t believe the people that call them selfish, it’s like have they NOT watched all eight seasons and saw what the brothers have done for other people and the world? Like one of them said, why does it always have to be them?

Very good points. I did think they were over analyzing everything. Its how they put stuff across. Of course they have given enough which was what I thought as soon as I read the thread. Its nice to see positive thoughts coming back instead of usual negative replies. Curing a demon is a superb feeling. This so reminds me of season 4 what Sam was trying to achieve. This can only be a good thing, can it not!!

They are all I think blocked in the UK which is so sad. My brother does have an account where we can download, so its better than nothing at all 😉 But its the waiting that is driving me mad. 😦

Really good finale – really amazing acting and twists and turns. But it ended a bit more hopeless than I would have liked. There are now ZERO angels to fight demons and we have thousands of demons left with only humans to fight them. Though I guess I am assuming all the angels lost their grace? Pretty dire. And Sam is still sick. I know it’s a cliffhanger, but really?

Welcome back supergirl, good to see you. I have heard mixed feelings about this episode. Still waiting to see it, I am so patient 😉 I wonder what Jeremy’s overall plan is? If Metatron wants to get back into heaven why did he get Cas to make all the angels fall. The boys will have a lot on their hands come October … Poor Sam he’s not having much luck. Why is Jeremy putting him through all this, its baffling me.

Wowy wow wow! Carver delivered in every detail. Sam did not look for Dean b/c he wanted to do what Dean wanted him to do because he did not want to let Dean down again. Jared P’s performance blew me away. Totally exhausted after watching this episode. The pacing was not overly rushed or the plot so tense, there is a funny bar scene, and Crowley dating, really!which I am sure some fans will use to perpetuate the sexuality issue, but the twists and turns totally drained me. I am not sure if Abaddon was truly destroyed as she goes up in fire from holy water. Misha does bewilderment so well. I just knew Metatron had Daddy issues. Cas was the third trial. All actors brough A+ game to this one. Knew it would be stellar when I heard Carry On and then in on short exposition, Dean brings forward all 8 seasons of Sam’s poor choices- wow. No time lost here. I will have to re-watch but like Cas, I feel rather overwhelmed and drained. I forgive the small gaffes and the few silly episodes mid season. Wow! Praying that Gen’s family(Jared’s too) is coping with the family crisis that pulled them home from Italy. We all need some time. More later. If you have not seen the episode yet, you will be glued to your seat. And the brothers’ love just oozes at the end against those fallen angels. OMG!! I bet this is going to be stupendous. I am so pleased with all these positives. I love what you all brought to me. I am still so tense. Reading the forum whom are not happy let me tell you. But are they ever. So those brothers came through for us in the end ha. Finally we get to see some emotional Sam. I can’t wait for these tragic moments to appear before me. So have they really rushed through these trails. Hell had one more to complete and they didn’t finish it. Then last week Cas starts one trial now their on the third trial. WOW! At least the Hell trials were spaced out more evenly, but this seems rushed to me. So Cas has gone through with the deal, and Sam did not. So Cas’s reward is becoming human I presume, does this mean that Sam would turn into an angel? Some where talking he was resonating into a prophet? I no he has not fully changed but he’s in a lot of pain lying on the floor. So what will happen to him now? And how will Dean cope? I hope to Gen is okay and Jared has settled down from the event. Still thinking of them both. I can’t wait to view this …..

The heaven trials were a lie. There are actual trials, but Metatron was making up false trials and telling Cas. When Kevin was trying to read the tablet, he said that there was nothing on it that Metatron was telling them.
What Metatron WAS doing was getting the ingredients for a spell. Everything he told Cas to do was for that. The last part of the soul was an angel’s grace. And with that spell the angels all fell from heaven. So we still don’t know what the heaven trials are, Kevin will probably figure it out next season.
Also, guys, is Kevin’s mom really dead? I though the Crowley hallucination told Kevin that. Why does he still think she’s dead?

I was so confused! Kevin was hallucinating Crowley….thought Crowley attacked him, but then the brothers get there and the boathouse is fine. It’s decided that Kevin ran. BUT then in the next episode, Kevin is in a different boat and Crowley suddenly knows where he is and is sending a fake Sam and Dean in to interrogate him? This confused me because they never explained what really happened.

Yeah, Cas wasn’t part of the trials but rather the spell, like Metatron said. I think season 9 will be Kevin trying to figure out what is actually on the angel tablet so they can save the world of the fallen (are the fallen or not?) angels that are going to populate the earth.
Wonder what’s going to happen with Sam, he’s in pain because he can hear the angels. I hope that will get better, because the angels won’t be going anywhere anytime soon. I hope he isn’t stuck being sick for all of season 9.

No I said to barb I had enough of soulless Sam and that was half a season long. It will be too much, and not fair on Sam. Particularly since Cas has lost his powers who will help Sam heal that’s the question if Metatron is in heaven where will this leave Sam and his health? Please no, I don’t want more Garth or anyone else doing Sammy’s job. I would hate this so much.

I no, and appreciate you all think its a ghastly prospect. But they really are putting Sam through the mill, all this pain like he’s having his spine ripped out of his body. The only other choice could be a demon, since he has demon blood in him and he is connected to hell. I hate the thought of him in more pain for what at the end of it. He’s suffered enough.

I agree. I think its something much worse than that.
Also if he were an angel with angel powers next season he couldnt be in every episode becase it would make all the hunts too easy. Not going to happen imho and it shouldnt. Theres enough with fans saying hes a “special snowflake”, can you imagine if he turned into an angel???

Metatron said he was resonating into what he is. But he didn’t say what. We seem to presume Metatron is an archangel, as he could he the angels. If it isn’t this why is he in soooooooo much PAIN! If he didn’t complete the third trial this worries me even more, that something else may happen. They say he’s dying and has been slowly since the first trial. So any idea’s what might be happening since he did not complete them all? Doesn’t the transformation stop?

Mainly because of the pain he is going through. Also Metatron asked why he was hearing the angels. He told Sam he was resonating. Into what exactly. Also I’ve heard he is dying in the finale last minute and he’s huddled in a bundle on the floor and some said they saw light from him. Don’t no if this is true. So is he being purified so he can cure a demon is this the plan?

Sam was not glowing. His arms were (because he was about to finish the third trial) and then Dean hugged him and told him to “let it go” and his arms stopped glowing. Sam and Dean fell to the ground because Dean was carrying Sam and then Sam began to hear the angels (imagine hearing all the angels as they are falling!). Sam wasn’t dying, just in a lot of pain.

I meant in season 4, when Dean was hearing Cas’s true voice. It was super painful. Sam is hearing the angels now and this time there are many more than one!

He cant turn into a prophet unless Kev is dead and hes not……I also dont think hes turning into an angel….but I obviously dont know that for a fact lol

He can’t turn into a prophet unless Kev is dead and hes not……I also don’t think hes turning into an angel….but I obviously don’t know that for a fact lol
Well how come Crowley had kidnapped all those prophets earlier in the season when they all stood around that round table and Crowley strangled one of them? Or were they not Prophets?

They were “future prophets” -if Kev Tran dies one of them would then take over. Right now they are just regular humans like kev was until supposedly chuck died. Crowley had them in case kev couldnt/wouldnt translate the tablet for him

It wasn’t anything like I expected and that was refreshing. Because sometimes when you get invested in a show, you start to predict pretty darn well what will happen next and for this finale I was certainly caught off guard. Good to see you back again amdwriter91 Since Cas is back full time, his story will take center stage I think. I am getting mixed messages. You all seem to love it here, but not so much on the forum. I no its negative out there, but I thought there would be something good to read but sadly not. Exactly you do predict what might come to light, often I am wrong more than I am right. But I’ve loved this season for guessing those possibilities. I was right the gates of hell were not closed though 😉 I am keeping a very open mind as you have all enjoyed it. So I will digest it all and let you no what I think. I hope Jeremy doesn’t disappoint me. 😦

I did make the horrible mistake of briefly vissiting IMDB boards. Encountered all kinds of negativity. Its contagious though, so I try not to associate. I see some people are determined to be obtuse about what happened. To those people I would urge, if possible,to watch it again and listen carefully and not just for what you want to hear or didn’t hear the first time around. I still think its important to closely pay attention to the dialogue or you will be unhappy.
I know not everyone is going to bexable to watch it multiple times like I but there’s nothing wrong with reserving opinions until more info is brought.
Next season:Crowley may be a good guy. Sam may still be sick or something. Dean has whole new set of problems to cope with as reguards the angels. And so do the demons by the way. Naomi is gone. Metatron is in heaven. I do not actually see it as a bad thing

I found the show so emotional last night. yes there were a few things I wasnt thrilled with but none of it stopped me from loving the episode. So many funny one liners from Deana d Crowley too!

Ive been reading the reviews and they all say that Mark Shephards acting was one of the highlights of the show. He really sold the gradual change from King of Hell and seeming to become human. I was very impressed. Ive always liked him but especially this season being so evil! But last night won me over as a fan of his acting for good.

I will pay much more attention. I no the boards can be negative, and a bit one way. I stay away from threads I feel are this way inclined. It keeps my stress at bay too from exploding. I find I loose the quality if I watch the show too much, and can destroy a bit of the excitement. But I do re-watch when the show airs again in the UK. I am also going to re-watch my recorded stuff again too I think just to get a better picture of what Jeremy is trying to put across.

Yes Ikeke I was on IMDB last night after the show and it’s amazing how people interpret the show. I felt like I was going in circles trying to explain certain scenes, and understand why people saw it so differently. it’s like I was watching a different show from them.

I may have seen a coupe of your replies because I did see where some people were trying to explain to a few disgruntled citizens what had happened on the show and why it was a good those things had happened. So that made me feel better that there were some people on there who could see the good behind what JC was trying to do this season.
True, he wasn’t always successful but one thing I have learned about this show is that most things have an explanation or are acknowledged in some way. You may not like what answers are given but how is that different from any other show on television? Also just because they don’t give an answer right away in episode 2, doesn’t mean that no answer is forthcoming or the question won’t be acknowledged in episode 21-23.

Yeah, a zero is over the top. There can’t honestly be NOTHING that they didn’t like in that episode! They judge things way too harshly, not everything is going to go as you want it, and just because THEY want something to happen doesn’t mean every fan (or even the majority) does!

I would never really give the show a mark under 5. Unless it was an episode as bad as ‘Bugs’ was in Season 1 or ‘Route 66’. I think they need to ‘re-watch’ the show again. They are very critical. I agree totally. 🙂

Wow…just wow…not what I was expecting AT ALL and I LOVED it because of that!
And I must say that I am completely over Sam not looking for Dean after what was said by Sam. He didn’t directly apologize, but in a way, it was even better. Claiming his greatest sin is always letting his brother down? Now THAT is apologizing for everything he’s done…there’s my Sam! Finally showing his emotions, we know now that he feels so bad for everything he’s done. He feels like he is a burden to Dean (maybe that was in the back of his head when Dean vanished? He thought wherever Dean was, he was better off without him?) And Sam just wants to make his brother proud, to know it hurt him that much when he thought Dean didn’t trust him…wow…And Dean’s words to Sam….my brothers are back! 😀
This ends very similar to Season4 finale, but it is also so much different. Because while the brothers are taking guard and holding onto one another, they are on the SAME PAGE this time around and are more united than ever. In season 4, they couldn’t have been more far apart, and I think here, they couldn’t be more together. 😀
Sam not completing Crowley’s transformation and trusting his brother showed so much. That he trusts his brother’s words to him, that he now knows how much he means to Dean, and the same can be said with Dean. We know how much he believes in Sam and that he would always put Sam first, no matter what. He knows that Sam feels so bad about everything he did to let Dean down, he knows that Sam was just trying to make him proud and went about it the wrong way. I really think this is the most united, and understanding that we’ve seen them…EVER on the show.
I’m so happy. 😀
Oh and I have to add…Mark Sheppard…his acting was phenomenal! I can’t wait to see what happens with Crowley. Seems as though he’s mostly human, but not all the way yet. What will we have a human Crowley and Cas in the backseat? LOL 🙂

I agree, I am pleased Carver at least addressed this, I thought he would whitewash it again. I am pleased this is the case. I hope then this is one of Carvers changes that we Sam growing up, and showing more feeling for Dean. He has at least acknowledged where he has gone wrong. 🙂 So Sammy was carrying guilt. Poor Sammy! This does sound a big improvement. Jeremy does no how to write these beautiful boys. 😉

I love Mark Sheppard I think he is so under rated, and they don’t use him enough. I just hope to god they don’t kill him off. That will be a big, big mistake 😦 I thought he might turn into a Warlock as his mother was a witch, that would be really interesting. We’ve already had a demon and a angel in the back seat so anything is possible on this show 😉

I would have liked it a little more if he explicitly said he should ahve looked for Dean but I had already come to terms with the fact that he wasnt going to so I accepted it as an apology as well. I would have liked it better if Jared had played it a little less angry and a little more remorseful.

Dean indirectly said he forgave Sam and Sam indirectly apologized for everything. The brothers rarely ever have their emotional moments like I want. I think the anger was Sam giving up because he thought he let Dean down. Or perhaps anger at himself as well for never being able to do anything right, even though he means to.

I get this I think this is where I might be disappointed and felt let down if I were Dean or in his shoes. I don’t think the writers are being really fair to our boys. I no Sam would apologize its as if they are preventing him from doing so, its really odd.

yeah I was actually hoping that there would be a supernatural reason behind it him not looking though, that was my only let down for the finale even though I know it was wishful thinking. I did like that scene between the brothers, I always do though honestly, and it was really sweet, and emotional like usual, but that was one of my favorite things about this show (which is why it has bothered me so much), the lengths the brothers were willing to go, and how they always broke the rules and looked for each other, but now it doesn’t matter anymore. *shrug*

I am pleased they appeared to have done something, as they knew a huge number of fans were upset with this particular theme. It so not like him not too look. At least we can close the door on this one now 😉

So did I, just read this blog, as I really wanted a supernatural excuse to get Sammy off the hook, but alas ….. I still wonder even now, if Jeremy was trying to do a u-turn. Break the long cycle. But why did it have to be Sam and not Dean. It just made Sam look even worse. He can never seem to pick him self up from one problem to another. He needs a break.

Good. I have read a couple of good reviews since Wednesday which have said they both come through for each other and is very moving. Many have praised Jared’s acting which I am totally delighted about. Jeremy a while ago was talking about angst and a different type of angst that the brothers have never faced before, so I am presuming this was what he was talking about. That they both opened up, not before time. I also heard that there were so many questions to keep them guessing throughout the summer. So I have a lot to get my head around.

yeah I know, but people kept getting my hopes up about it, so I still held out hope it would happen differently. I know others who were hoping they’d at least go into more detail about it, like explaining what happened, because I think there was a gap between when Dean disappeared and when he met Amelia. Also I think many really didn’t like this character change, and just hoped there was a catch. But nope, there is no catch, this is just who Sam is.

I think the whole speech between him and Dean was very ambiguous. He DID say his main sin was letting Dean down (uh Sam thats not a sin lol) but after that-I dont know if it was the directors choice or Jareds-but he then went on to almost blame Dean. Jared played it a little too angry and not remorseful enough. I know a lot of people that cant full on apolgize for something and always have to somehow blame the person they are apologizing to, which was how I saw it, so I wasnt COMPLETELY happy with it. So it was a weird apology. Im taking it as a full apology though cause I think this is all they are going to give us re: not looking etc.

But I don’t think he actually was, I think he as on the verge of giving up and just became so flustered. But yeah, a simple “and I’m sorry for that” at the end of Sam’s speech would have made the scene so much better, nearly perfect. I don’t know why the writers can’t do that?

Yes it would ahve been perfect then. I have to say I REALLY thought Sam was going to finish the curing and I still dont understand why he didnt since as long as he didnt do the incantation the trials wouldnt be finished and he wouldnt die so why not finish-altho maybe next year the season will start with that?

I was thinking that too! they can still cure a demon without shutting the gates. The priest did it! Sam didn’t finish the incantation did he? I think they might still fully cure Crowley, or at least I hope so. I at least don’t want him going back to 100 percent demon. Everything they went through this season has to be worth SOMETHING. At the least they should have a human Crowley. I would hate to think they went through so much pain, and people like Sarah died for nothing.

I think they should have had him put his bloody hand on Crowleys mouth-say the words to cure him ,and then as hes taking out the trial incantation paper Dean rushes in to stop him. I think that would have been better!

What I was confused with over this was how can Sam cure a demon with his blood and it has demon blood in him any way. So how could this have worked in hindsight.

I think the trials were purging him of the demon blood and then he did his confession so then he was purified.

I was thinking along the right lines in my mind, I wasn’t 100% certain as I’ve not seen it still yet. This is almost like a ghost passing over when they have a score to settle.

This is the only fault I find with Jared’s acting, is his surprised moment when he’s just killed a monster. He does it for a living why does he need to really show us he’s scared. Its how he comes across each time, and sometimes the expression is really annoying. He has to do this little yelp noise. 8 years on does he really need to do it! No I don’t the writers do annoy me at times too.

I see it unfolding now. Poor Sam, he’s fighting his inner demons this time not real ones. I suppose he’s like Dean in this regard he feels as though he’s not worthy in Dean’s eyes like Dean felt he wasn’t worthy of being saved by god?

Actually ,that might explain his earlier behavior that everyone thought of as OOC. Not to me because younger siblings are creatures of mystery. (Look up befuddlement in the dictionary and there’s a photo of me looking at my sisters.) Sam is just another mystery to me so I take whatever he does in stride, but for people with a little more intellectual investment in the character, I get that it must be upsetting.
Also I keep forgetting that a lot of people view this show through the lens of whatever personal lives they lead, family structures, emotional encounters, childhood memories and stuff. That can lead to some fairly radical and/or puzzling opinions to the rest of us who believe we are clearly seeing the show. I’m as nonplussed by Sam’s behavior as I am of any one of my sisters. For people that don’t have sisters or even brothers I just can’t even imagine how they view the brothers relationship and if you had a bad relationship with your family that’s another completely different viewpoint from which to watch the show that people like me would never see.
When Dean gave that “stone #1 speech at the beginning of season 7, I see this new speech as the bookend to that one. He asked Sam to put him first that time. This is Dean letting Sam know that Sam has always been stone #1 for him. The sun around which all his decisions orbit and Sam needed to hear that because he has been suffering under a tremendous weight of guilt for not looking for Dean. And then top that off with Dean being upset with him over it and all the little jabs of Meg and Bobby and the reliable Benny and the BFF angel, well yeah, his behavior was more than a little off. (Although to most of us this came across as anger at Dean. It was never Dean. It was “GUILT”, on a testicle withering scale. Here he is , having done what they both discussed, (not looking for the other) and he still manages to fail and disappoint his brother.
When Dean was talking to Cas earlier and said what he said about Sam, you have to note there are 3 different things going on in this scene. There’s what Dean said, what Dean meant and what Sam heard.
What dean said was: Sam needs a chaperone. What he meant was:I’m worried about him. I can’t leave him because he needs me and I promised I’d be there for him. What Sam heard was I don’t trust Sam to get this right without me. And he said that to, of all people, Cas. The angel he thinks Dean trusts more than him.
Sam is thinking the way he does because of the things that Dean has done and said all season long. (Take that! you people who don’t think Dean is important! Nah!) And it was up to Dean to set his thinking straight. That speech was never about Sam apologizing to Dean for letting him down. It was about Sam wanting to make restitution for having done so. And it was about Dean letting Sam know that no matter how angry he has ever been at Sam, that Sam is always going to be his first choice. That it doesn’t matter what Sam does (up to and including not looking for him in Purgatory), he may be angry about it but will NEVER forsake Sam for anyone or anything.

Yes, his expressions irk me to sometimes. What is wrong with the writing this year it appears so emotionless, like they don’t no how to write Sam any longer it really is a pain up the bum this year. Its made me so cross. May be this is how he is being directed this season. May be they are confusing him if we are not picking this up. I remember when Sam was soulless how confused the boys were.

Sam sees himself as a failure in Dean’s eyes. He needs assurance from Dean that he’s not. Remember perception also this season, this could be the case. If it doesn’t feel right. I think Sam is feeling very, very guilty right now, and he’s probably lashing out at the person to him and that sadly is Dean. Sam sometimes lets his anger get the better of him, which is naughty on his part. If it was a half heated apology then we might now have to live with this thought, for now. Better something, than nothing at all.

yeah I thought Sam was just angry at himself in that scene, so that’s why he seemed so mad in that scene. But I know many on the other board felt the same as you did. Kind of makes me want to watch that scene again, because some people (such as myself) felt like he was felling guilty towards himself, and others felt like he was blaming. I wonder if the writers may have made Sam look worse if so many have interpreted it this way?

This is what’s really bugged me this year, how Sam in particular has been written. Have they some plan we don’t no about yet? Its hard to interrupt a scene when others don’t always see it the same as you do. It does vary from place to place. I’m picking up on the vibes. 😉

Ive rewatched many times and it still looks a little too much like hes angry at Dean BUT I dont think thats what they WANTED to show so maybe the director or Jated played it a little too angry?

8 seasons ago I fell in love with a show where 2 estranged brothers reconnected and who grew to be willing to die for each other. Now Dean still blames Sam for losing his soul (something Sam had no control over) and every other mistake Sam has ever made. Sam admits that he has ALWAYS let Dean down and would rather die then do it again. Dean doesn’t want Sam to die, and heaps more guilt on Sam by telling him that Dean killed Benny for him, so Sam has to stay alive. He says nothing Sam has done will change that, but he doesn’t forgive him. So if Sam lives, he can be Dean’s punching bag for the rest of his life.
I’m not happy.

Everyone seees things a little differently. Like I really didnt see Sam being remorseful but angry but I took it as an acting choice. Dean pretty much told Sam he would stick by him NO ATTER WHAT.

Its nice to view another take on this scene. I understand it this way, and may be why Dean came out with this. But could it have been written better? As even we here are having trouble interpreting scenes as they stand.

I just took it as a fail on the writers part, and yes it should ahve been written differently!

Yeah, that whole season 6 was a mess and the concept of a body walking around without a soul but with Sam’s memories was just hard to believe and creepy. I think Carver just didn’t like the season or paid close attention to it. So I don’t think he understood that it wasn’t Sam’s choice and Sam had no control over what his body did. Dean even said in season 6 “that wasn’t you Sam”!

Yes, they should have put it much better. Sam hated what he did when he got his soul back and did everything he could to try and make amends and that was one thing of Sam I was proud of. He went back and tried to put all his mistakes right, like the cop he nearly killed with Grampa Samuel. Yes, What it boils down to is Jeremy didn’t do his homework thoroughly enough. Bit of a big plot hole JC.

It sounds a real wired thing for Dean to bring up. Not having seen this yet. Why would Dean blame Sam for loosing his soul, this is so not like Dean What could Sam have actually done about it. He was probably out of it any way in the cage. He didn’t remember much. I think by the sounds of it Dean was just wanting to find something to throw back at Sam as they were arguing. This is poor writing IMO and very weak if that’s the best they can come up with, Ouch …

Is this really how you saw it? That Sam is Deans punching bag? I didnt see that at all.

Same here, I saw it as Dean telling Sam how much he needed him. And he didn’t outright say he forgave him but it was obvious to me. Just like Sam didn’t outright apologize to Dean, but still got the point across.
Sam made mistakes, Dean didn’t trust him because of them, but with this scene it’s all cleared up and brought them back on the same page. It showed me that they both need each other.

Is this really how you saw it? That Sam is Deans punching bag? I didn’t see that at all.
This was what I was thinking he didn’t have any control over his own soul down there. I think the writers thought up a weak comparison there. I did think earlier it could have been a bribe from Dean to make Sam pull away. To make him feel bad, not deliberate but a last minute attempt to save his brothers bacon, Dean was I presume trying to make Sam not go ahead with the trial. just a thought

Its 10:30 here in the Midwest and just finished watching the episode thirty minutes ago.
All I have to say for now is WOW. Just Wow!
Completely expected tears in some parts and thoroughly unexpected tears in others. Some beautiful …and I mean absolutely gorgeous acting by Amanda Tapping and Mark Sheppard. The two of them brought their A game. Have your tissues handy.
Episode showed that Carver is willing to make big changes in that ‘verse.
Some of the things people guessed at came true but not in the way people thought they would. Certain theories went nowhere and no this is not an alternate reality and no reason outside of the one Sam already gave us was given for him not looking for Dean. It is what it is but I still hope people will be satisfied with the resolution of that question. And yes I think that question is entirely moot now. Carver said the world would change and he didn’t lie. Every major character experienced a big change – even Naomi but not the way everyone expected.
And yeah! We were all right about Metatron.

Does Crowley know who Sheriff Mills is? He knows shes one of the people that Sam and Dean saved, and Im thinking he also knew she was their FRIEND as well. Perfect choice for him to get them to surrender! All I can say is…I’m SO glad I waited to watch this on my DVR so I could FF through commercials. I don’t think I could have made it having to wait for the stupid commercials to end!

The acting is nearly always good, particularly in the finale, there is something so special about the Supernatural finale. Oh, Sam I hope my boy is okay!!!

Its 10:30 here in the Midwest and just finished watching the episode thirty minutes ago. All I have to say for now is WOW. Just Wow!

Completely expected tears in some parts and thoroughly unexpected tears in others. Some beautiful …and I mean absolutely gorgeous acting by Amanda Tapping and Mark Sheppard. Yes, and plenty of DRAMA!! It sounds so amazing, and captivating. So I can take by this that Naomi and Crowley were an item. Something big must be happening between those two for it to be this big? So he hasn’t been lying to us, changes are afoot 😉

Cool, but I bet not what I was really hoping for 😉 So were happy at least on this front the alternate universe theory is moot, good guess work though. So is Naomi still with us or did they bunk her off? I love your take giving me too much to think about, I am screaming now. 🙂 I hope the not looking for Dean the door is now closed, as this was so, so depressing. And it didn’t look good for Sam. I hope Carver has done his job and not let us down, that is my biggest worry.

Yes!!!!! My head is combusting right now. I am in LIMBO. I don’t no what do with myself. I have heard bits from the forum see my notes to SPNFAN90. I don’t think IMDb is very happy this morning. I heard the cliffhanger ends with Sam on the floor in pain. So he hasn’t changed yet? And what’s happened to Crowley did the spell work. I heard he wasn’t fully human yet. And Fallen angels fell from the sky. Oh my …. I hate the thought of having to wait until the weekend. At least this time I can watch the show on the TV as I have transferred my downloads on to a disc. So this will be so exciting.

When is the forum EVER happy? They aren’t! They always will find something to complain about. No matter what. I knew no matter what happened in the finale, those certain angry posters would hate it. And I was right! However, if you step away from the board and that loud minority, I found that the majority of fans enjoyed it!

Yeap, so true SPNFAN80 there not happy unless they have something to moan about. This was so what I was finding. There also seems a lot of newbies too which is lovely to see. In the rates thread I always head there first, and I didn’t this morning. So will go back and have a look as this always to me is a good indicator of how others felt about it. I’m so nervous for tonight! I think I will watch it at 10 or 11…it’s set up to record on my DVR so I won’t have to suffer through commercials. But maybe I will be too excited and watch it live… 🙂 I think it’s amazing that I can still feel this way about this show 6 years after I began watching it. I’ve had other shows I enjoyed, but they all ended up falling flat for me and I either gave up, or finished the show feeling let down and bored. But not with SPN! 😀
I must add….even if I didn’t approve of quite a few of Sam’s actions this season…I am very pleased that he got a haircut! 😀 He may look horrible and sick, but at least his hair looks nice! haha Funny that when he was with Amelia, he didn’t bother to cut his hair. When he got back with Dean he did and he’s keeping up with it and not letting it get super long again.

Your all welcome. Well its 10.30 am in the morning here in the UK, and I peeked on the forum. I have made out bits and pieces and there disappointed I think on the whole. The gates were not closed? Yes, I said I was too. I suppose I always am finale time. But this year it seems much more tense than normal. Good idea SPNFAN90 taping it and skipping the commercials. I bet many do this thinking about it. So you tuned in around season 2 then 😉 Boy seeing Sam die then must have been horrific. I always love Dean’s speech to Sam. I’m the same. I have a love for many TV shows, but this is the first in a long time that has kept me watching and not giving up on. There is something special about it. I loved Heroes and they cancelled it I was so, so annoyed. I put so much time into that show, but they are bringing it back but with a new cast. I wonder when?

Hmm…let’s see…I started watching live during my senior year in high school which was 07-08. I think that was season 3. During that year, I watched season 1 and 2 DVDs and I kept hearing these rumors about Dean possibly going to Hell. I was so confused! lol I remember after I finished watching the DVDs, the episode “A Very Supernatural Christmas” was airing. And even though I didn’t see the start of season 3, I still watched most of it. I know during that Christmas hellatus that I caught up on season 3, probably watching online ;). So when the show came back after Christmas in season 3, that was my very first time watching episodes live week to week!
My whole family watched it, my mom, dad, brother and sister. But me and my sister were the only ones that stayed dedicated to watching live after that. My sister quit sometime in season 5, saying the show was “too serious and the brothers fight too much”. So now, I’m the lone viewer in my family. She’s about to graduate from high school now, so I think as she got older, she would enjoy it more. Also, this season they did a better job of adding in humor again and balancing it well. She’s been saying she wants to get back in (especially because all of her high school friends watch SPN now and post stuff on twitter and tumblr). I’ve been telling her that we have to have a marathon with all my SPN DVDs. 🙂

And after all those years, my family now knows I’m obsessed and I was given a birthday gift to go to last year’s Chicago Con 😀 (well, my parents bought me the admission ticket, I bought the photo op ticket myself). And I finally got to meet Jensen. 😀 There was no way I could have become so attached to this show and NOT meet him when there are so many convention opportunities, I was determined! And my mom can only blame herself because SHE was the one that rented those SPN DVDs for her and my Dad to watch a new show! 😉

Most people didn’t try talking to him, but I did and he was very nice, I was glad he takes the time out of these rushed photo ops to talk to the fans that want to say something to him. He goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable, something that I found so great and he seemed to be having so much fun. I think he also really appreciates it when fans make the effort to talk to him and they are able to talk to him like a normal human being. I actually wrote a con report about just meeting Jensen, although it’s way too much to post here! to sum it up – he was even kinder than I expected and also went out of his way to compliment me and he thanked me as well. Oh and we he called me sweetheart twice, it was a very happy feeling! 🙂

You are so, so lucky spnfan90 I have a friend on IMDb who actually only lives about 20 miles in Watford, who went to JIB con in Italy last year and she actually bought me back Jared’s autograph. I was so taken back that someone would do this for me, and no charge as she got a free pass from someone else. She asked me to send her another photo of my choice this year unfortunately as we now know Jared was called away back home on an emergency so I didn’t see my picture this year.

This was what my friend said about him. He is even better looking off set as the make-up covers up his beauty apparently … It dulls it down. She mentioned his eyes were wow. She said she too got to ask him a question and went out of his way to assist her. She was over the moon. I have heard this a lot about both boys they are so comfortable around us, they really want to get to know us which is really heart warming to know. I love how Jared jumps off the stage if fans are nervous and hugs them if they can’t get the question out. I would love a hug 🙂 These boys are so special.

I bet it was 😉 I bet it cost a bomb in petrol and hotel bills and food? So thrilled you had a wonderful time. I always wanted to go to Asylum but felt nervous of going on my own. This year Jared has pulled out of Birmingham so he’s not coming over 😦 Being unemployed I could never afford the entry ticket let alone the hotel bill.

I know, its like the make up covers up his best features, I bet he has lovely skin 😉 Some one asked him at a convention this year what’s it like to be so attractive and he was sooooo embarrassed. I remember his reply when you get married the room is empty, or similar. He honestly doesn’t think hes good looking at that’s what I love about him. 🙂

Your so lucky also being in the same country and being able to get to one. We only have one hotel that the boys come to in Birmingham which is about 250 miles away. Which is around a four hour drive too. Its so expensive and don’t have the ready’s unfortunately 😦

I started channel hoping around early season four. I can’t remember the exact episode I switched into. I don’t recall seeing Dean come back from hell or seeing Cas come on the show. The first full episode was After School Special. The season 4 finale I was a hooked hard core fan by this point. Jensen in those shorts was a turn on and Sam using his power in the school corridor. I loved the moment when Sam went into the teacher he remembered. I never realized that teacher was a demon until way after. SPNfan I sent you a private message.
