    Virile do you write anything besides Wincest? I’ll read it periodically and have even ventured into the land of the Destiels but neither is really my thing. How about you Wren ? I’m always looking for good fanfic. Love me some Hurt!Dean. Not into disabilities or sickness… or WeeChesters or sappy long drawn out hospitalization stories. Though if they are really good I’ll make an exception. Other than that I’m pretty open. I do like mature more often than not. Whatever makes you happy and gets your creative juices flowing – keep writing. That’s the beauty of this fandom.

        Same for me. Fic is fantasy for me and I don’t read anything that makes me sad. I don’t do character death, unhappy endings, etc.
        Give me all the hurt/comfort, fluff, drama with an emotional payoff and… stuff I don’t speak about in polite company 😀

      No, I’m an OTP (One True Pairing) kind of girl, and all my creative juices are focused on Sam and Dean.

      I definitely get that. Shipping requires a certain perspective on characters, and a different type of emotional connection if you will? I can’t be bothered to read anything about a paring I don’t ‘feel’ that connection for.

      I like mildly Hurt!Dean and I wrote some because I like people fussing over him and taking care of him. The worst I ever gave him was hypothermia. I don’t like him hurt in any serious way or stuck in a hospital at all. Just some bed rest, being forced to eat soup while he’s cranky as hell, and getting spoiled like a baby, which he fights against because he’s uncomfortable with the center of attention, feeling ‘weak’ and not being in charge, until you wear him down… with tender love and care 😉

    Interesting. I never considered myself part of the WordPress community until now. I fell into WordPress through Bella and since I have yet to publish anything lol, I saw myself as a visitor of sorts. My shipping community is LJ. It’s been since the beginning and it’s organized tp cater to shippers. There are a bunch of communities you can join, all the Big Bangs, etc.
    LJ is my slash community. Tumblr my character worship community and IMDb my show analysis community. I use each community for distinct purposes.

    Years and years ago :). Haven’t read fic in a while because I took a break from LJ when my RL became complicated. My LJ life requires more work because I read fic and write fic there. I have a WIP that I need to finish, readers who are very sad because they have to wait, and I’m in the witness protection program of VMOFTD until I get it together lol. Tumblr and IMDB don’t require any work from me. I can’t talk about the show without breaking a seat and reblogging is a mindless stress relief. LJ is another matter.

      Witness protection program??? It all sounds so… legal
      And I’m not a Destiel shipper! You must be thinking of Jenks or someone- I’m ship-neutral, with a mild Sastiel affection. I USED to ship Destiel, when I was originally watching, but the wanky Desties put me off it. There seems to be a specific bunch of people who are like, ‘If our ship doesn’t become canon this show is a piece a shit’, and it kinda gets up my nose.

        Cool. Let me know if you need help with LJ. A lot of people have moved to Tumblr and A03 so I’m not sure you’re missing anything. When I got on LJ, it was the place to be lol. Not anymore.

        No. I’m just keeping my fic writer identity separate from my current fandom activities until I sort things out and manage to finish my WIP 🙂

        That’s why I thought you were a Destiel shipper. You mentioned the wank but I thought it only meant you stopped interacting with that part of the fandom, not that you dropped the ship altogether. Since you’re not a Wincester but reads Wincest, I suppose you stick to the more PG type stories? I can’t imagine a non-Wincester being comfortable with the NC-17s lol.

          And yeah, I’m not squicky but idk, just not really into super-explicit sex scenes in general- I’ve read a couple and was just like OH COME ON THAT WOULDN’T REALLY HAPPEN.
          I’m a genfic sorta girl really, but who writes gen these days. Apart from me. And Sam and Dean’s relationship is interesting no matter what your take on it is.

            I remember there being Gen communities on LJ. I’m sure there’s a supernatural gen tag on A03 for those who are willing to rise above the call of the flesh 😉

                    I could write a thesis about why I ship them. I’ve been shipping it since I started watching the show. The first time I saw them, I was watching ‘Everybody Loves a Clown’ and I shipped them almost instantly. Then I watched 1 through 3 and I became obsessed and I thought, for sure someone sees what I see. Boy… I googled it and fell down the rabbit hole. It was everywhere. Made myself an LJ and became an active, obsessed fan. It was wincest 24/7 and my only regret was that I’d never have enough time to read all the fic lol.
