The Darkness doesent seem to be evil ?

This little article came up on IMDb and was posted by Noblestromana in a thread with the above heading, who agreed with this writer on Tumblr. Its interesting because the writer goes back to the beginning and why Dean is important to The Darkness, and why she thinks she couldn’t consume Dean’s soul. Where The Darkness came in the order of the MoC which put into more perspective for me personally.

  1. The Darkness, though portrayed as the Big Bad, is pretty gray. All she wants is to talk to God, whether she has to kill or absorb souls or pray, that isn’t her concern. True, she hasn’t spared lives so far (except Dean) but I’m willing to bet that there will be a moment when she does something good or not completely evil

  2. It does seem as if there’s some greater purpose in Deans attachment is o Amara. Yeah, there’s mythology all over the show and it’s getting a little harder to keep track of, for sure. I’m not a huge mythology buff. I know a little but not really enough to keep up with this show.

  3. Well said. Well thought out.

In Hindu she is akin to Kali–the black one–destruction–before time.

Makes me shudder for Dean and be amazed at Sam’s power as brother to save him from himself.

Cas raised Dean from perdition because he was the Righteous Man. Is this conflict with Amara Dean’s destiny? What he has been trained for, born for?

Did Cas understand this set of brothers was what Cain and Abel were meant to be?

All of this Myth making gives me a head ache. Too deep for me.
